Tx Drivers License Expired Grace Period

Dammit, my license expired last week -- I'm going in to get it renewed later this week, BUT, in the interim, I have to fly for work today and tomorrow. I understand that TSA will accept a license that's less than one year expired for proof of ID, but does anyone have any different info?
